Course description

What will I be studying?

In Travel and Tourism A Level you will learn about the industry of travel and tourism, customer services and of event planning. You will be involved in work centred learning; visiting and researching local travel and tourism organisations. You will gain experience of carrying out long-term projects and have the chance to make decisions about your own learning. There are 4 units to this course, 2 at AS and 2 at A Level. In each year you will complete one portfolio and one exam. Performance in portfolios is worth 60% of your final mark making it more significant than in the exam.

Where can it take me?

This A Level course provides suitable preparation for a range of university courses and occupations based around business, management and tourism. You will develop improved independent learning skills, essential for University or any job.

Entry requirements

At least 4 C grades at GCSE (or equivalent) in at least 3 different subjects.
