Peter Jones Enterprise Academy - BTEC in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Level 3 at PETROC

Course description

This exciting course offers our enterprise learners a dedicated learning environment with access to first class resources, which includes their very own `Board Room'. Our team of business experts all have industry experience from a range of sectors, so they are able to pass on their industrial insight and experience in lectures, presentations and discussions.

Course content

Each student has their own ambition, we believe it'
s our job to help them achieve it. The first year of the course explores the main components of a business which all come together to create a business plan, with the main focus on building confidence and strong communication skills.

During the second year we build on the knowledge gained in the first to ensure full understanding of what it takes to make a business work. 

Each week the students will be involved in the planning and implementation of their business complimented by expert guidance from business mentors and the Enterprise Manager.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at Grade C or above

Successful completion of a BTEC Level 2 in Business and Enterprise at Merit or above or equivalent qualification.

Assessment

Assessments are assignment based with the main core surrounding the planning and running of your own business.

Future opportunities

This course leads to University pathways, apprenticeship opportunities or direct employment.
