BTEC Engineering Level 3 Subsidiary Award at Deyes High School

Course description

Students will study the content of plays written for the theatre. They will analyse plays and contrast play texts in a practical and active way. They will then deliver a performance to an audience.

Course content

 

 Unit 1 - Communication for technicians

 Unit 2 - Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace

 Unit 3 - Engineering drawing for engineers

 Unit 4 - Engineering secondary finishes/processes

 Unit 5 - Fabrication processes and technology

 Unit 6 - Properties and applications of materials

 

Entry requirements

Grade B or above in a Technology subject and minimum grade C in English Language and Mathematics.

Assessment

Assessment is through coursework only On-going assessment with no end of year exams ensures you remain engaged as you work towards a qualification that is recognised and respected both by the engineering industry and by higher education institutions
