Plumbing Apprenticeship Level 2 at Warwickshire College Group

Course description

This course is designed for those currently working in plumbing.

You will study Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating, Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths and Functional Skills Level 1 in ICT.

Course content

You will study the following units:

  • Site preparation 
  • Health and Safety
  • Scientific Principles in Plumbing
  • Common Plumbing Processes
  • Cold Water Systems
  • Domestic Hot Water Systems
  • Sanitation
  • Central Heating Systems
  • Rainwater
  • Understand How to Communicate with others in BSE
  • Environmental 

Entry requirements

You will need to be working for an employer in the plumbing industry as you will be assessed in the workplace by a College Assessor.

Assessment

Assessment will consist of practical workshop assessments and on-line tests. 50% practical 50% workshop. You will also be required to produce a personal portfolio of evidence from activities carried out on site.
