Social Sciences BTEC Subsidiary Diploma Level 3 at Wilberforce College

Course description

You will gain a broad understanding of many aspects of the social sciences and achieve a well respected BTEC qualification in Health Social Care.  We have structured this course so that the emphasis is on the social sciences such as Sociology, and Psychology related vocational areas such as social work, and social issues such as equality and discrimination.

Unit 7: Sociological Perspectives
Unit 8: Psychological Perspectives
Unit 3: Health, Safety and Security

Unit 19: Applied Sociology
Unit 29: Applied Psychology
Unit 30: Health Psychology
Unit 45: Independent study

Entry requirements

4 A*-C grades at GCSE including a grade D in GCSE English Language.


Each unit is assessed by coursework.
