HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE – BTEC NATIONAL LEVEL 3 We offer the following BTEC Nationals in Health & Social Care. • BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma ‘single’ (3 x units (Certificate) are studied in Year 12 and 3 x units are studied in Year 13 - equivalent to 1 A Level) • BTEC Level 3 Diploma ’double’ (6 x units are studied in Year 12 and 6 x units are studied in Year 13 - equivalent to 2 A Levels) • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma ‘triple’ – (9 x units are studied in Year 12 and 9 x units are studied in Year 13 - equivalent to 3 A Levels) You will study a wide range of subject areas including Developing Effective Communication, Equality, Diversity and Rights, Health, Safety and Security, Anatomy and Physiology, Development through life stages, Anatomy and Physiology and Personal Development. The successful completion of this course will help you to progress onto a career in areas such as social work, residential care management, housing and the probation service. You could also take a degree or BTEC Higher National in subjects such as Health & Social Care, Teacher training, Social Policy, Managing Health and Care Services. Entry requirements

Progression onto Health & Social Care BTEC National Level 3 courses will require at least 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade C or above. Exam Board: www.edexcel.org.uk
