A Level Health & Social Care at Hardenhuish School

Course description

The aim is to extend post 16 Science provision to those students
who would prefer to study through a more vocational style course.
It is designed to provide knowledge and understanding through
active experience in health and social care environments.
This will be achieved through a variety of approaches including
work experience, links with local employers, case studies and
research. There are excellent working relationships with the
University of the West of England (a major trainer for students
wishing to pursue careers in the health care professions),
Chippenham Hospital and local health care and early years’
providers. These are invaluable for enabling this course to run
effectively, ensuring that opportunities for students are plentiful.
