Business Administration Level 3 at Coleg y Cymoedd

Course description

This course is designed to provide training in administrative duties such as supervising an office facility, managing and evaluating customer relations, running projects, planning, organising and supporting meetings, making presentations, using various software, planning and implementing innovation and change, and providing leadership.

You will undertake real supervisory/leadership work experience within our Virtual Reality Company or in industry and attend Trade Fairs, developing employability and entrepreneurial skills.

Course content

You will study the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration, BTEC Level 3 Award in Workskills. Modules vary across campuses, you could study: Text Processing Level 3 Business Professional Award: Text Processing, Word Processing, Medical Word Processing or Audio Transcription.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grades A*- C including English and Maths or a Level 2 Certificate in Business Administration or related vocational qualifications.

Assessment

The NVQs will be internally assessed and externally moderated, all NVQ qualifications are competence based. There may be external examinations and continuous assessment throughout the year, via observation.

Future opportunities

After successfully completing this course, you could further your studies in Higher Education in a relevant subject or employment within an office as an administrative or clerical assistant.
