GCE AS Level World Development at Queen Elizabeth School

Course description

More and more people are beginning to ask questions about whether we in the West can continue with the lifestyle that we currently have. The World Development course explores these questions in detail. The AS course has two main themes: 1. Development, Resources and Global Citizenship - this considers what world development is all about. 2. Poverty and Inequality - this looks at the fundamental causes of poverty in the world. These themes are assessed through a 2 hour written paper and a coursework portfolio.

Entry requirements

GCSE passes in five subjects with grades A - C plus an interview and reference.
