Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2/3 Apprenticeship at Lambeth College

Course description

The Intermediate Level 2 Supported Teaching and Learning Apprenticeship will be in the classroom working with the teacher to support children’s learning. You will gain knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and children’s development.
The Advanced Level 3 Supported Teaching and Learning Apprenticeship is for those who have experience in the classroom and wish to take a supervisory role. You will study child development, supporting children with special needs, managing children’s behaviour, methods of communication and how to promote equality, diversity and inclusion with children.
Please note: You must be employed and working a minimum of 30 hours a week in order to enrol on an apprenticeship. 

Entry requirements

Entry age: 16+.

All candidates need to have attained employment, and be working for a minimum of 30 hours per week under a contract of employment.

There is a minimum literacy and numeracy requirement which will be assessed prior to enrolment.

An Employer Agreement is needed as this is a work-based qualification.

Your offer is also subject to a successful interview.

Entry Criteria:

Level 3 – 5 GCSE qualifications at grades A* to D including English and Maths or
have completed an intermediate apprenticeship
Level 2 – 3 GCSE qualifications at grades E or above including English and Maths
