Business & Finance BTEC Intermediate Diploma Level 2 at Fareham College

Course description

This course will provide exciting opportunities and inspire you to develop the required skills to become successful in all aspects of the business world.

During your time on the course you will study the core business sectors including Enterprise, Marketing, Finance, Administration and Customer Service. You will develop the necessary awareness and understanding of business operations and what it takes to become an entrepreneur.

Enterprise and Innovation will lead the course and you will be given the opportunity to develop an idea for a new product or service and discover the process involved in setting up and running our own busies. Alongside this you will be introduced to successful networking techniques exploring how social media can support business development.

  • The basics of finance (including personal finance)

  • Training and employment

  • Retail

  • Working in business teams

  • Customer relations

  • Business enterprise

Work experience, guest speakers and business trips are also included to enrich your programme of study and prepare you for a career in the commercial industry.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at Grade D or above.

Course materials will be required and are an essential prerequisite your course. A list of requirements will be supplied at your application interview.

Future opportunities

You can progress on to the Level 3 Diploma, employment or an Apprenticeship.

Courses will prepare Student for a terrific career in the industry. Graduates go on to perform a number of industry-related roles including: Administrator, Personal Assistant, Marketer, Business Analyst, Entrepreneur, Banker, Financial Services, Sales, Retail, Human Resources and many more.
