Mathematics - AS/A2 Level at Rochdale Sixth Form College

Course description

Mathematics is a highly regarded subject, offering a wide range of future career possibilities. It is a requirement for entry to a number of degree courses, commonly including Physics, Economics, Accountancy, Engineering, and of course Mathematics. As a traditional academic subject, it is also well regarded by universities to support an application in any subject. It is also a suitable subject for underpinning applications for employment and apprenticeships due to the widely applicable nature of the subject content. Skills developed in the study of A-Level Mathematics include logical reasoning, analysis of complex information and problem-solving. The subject is ideally suited to those students who have enjoyed the algebraic aspect of GCSE Mathematics, as algebra underpins the large majority of the material studied.

Mathematics is a challenging subject at A-Level, which is extremely rewarding.
