What will I study?
• Theory of computation.  
• Fundamentals of programming, data structures and algorithms
• Fundamental of data representation, functional programming, computer systems, organisation and architecture, communication and networking
 
This course includes a non-exam assessment through an individual programming project of your own choice which makes up 20% of the A Level.
 

Entry requirements

General A-Level entry requirements - Three GCSEs at grade B or above plus two further GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent). At least four GCSEs must have been assessed through examination, including English Language and Maths.
 
What are the additional entry requirements for this course?
GCSE Maths at grade B or above plus a grade BB or above in Science & Additional Science and a good reference.
 
For entry to the second year of the A-Level, you will need:
AS Computer Science at grade D or above, the entry requirements for AS Computer Science and a good reference or recommendation from your Tutor.
