Hospitality Diploma Level 1 at Gloucestershire College
This course willl provide you with a real insight into the world of hospitality. You will gain basic practical skills needed to work in kitchens, restaurants and hotels. You will also gain the knowledge required to ensure that you understand why tasks are carried out in a certain way.
The course will focus on improving your English and Maths and employability skills.
The qualifications you will study are the BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to the Hospitality Industry, the Level 2 Award in Food Safety and functional skills qualifications in English and Maths.
All our courses are designed to prepare our learners for employment, be it full time or part-time. You will be given the opportunity to work in our high quality commercial operations, take part in events with the very best chefs in Gloucestershire and undertake paid work experience at Cheltenham Races.

You will need to have 3 GCSE's at grade E or Entry 3 in English & Maths Functional Skills.
You will be assessed during the course which will include practical and theoretical tests and you will need to pass each of these in order to progress onto the next stage of the programme.
Upon completion, the options are the full- time Hospitality Level 2 or the Intermediate Hospitality Apprenticeship at Level 2.
