Course description

Textiles provides opportunities ranging from fashion and aesthetics to industrial uses of textiles, and from creative and individual work to aspects of manufacturing and industrial and commercial practice. The syllabus includes: - Classification of fibres - Manipulating and combining materials - Communication methods* - Product Analysis - Product manufacturing - Working properties of fibres - Development of technologies and design - Design - Industrial and commercial practice - System Control

Entry requirements

Pathway 1: For 4 AS Levels & General Studies ? 6 or more A*-C at GCSE with at least a grade B in the 4 subjects chosen to study. ? Pathway 2: For 3 AS Levels & General Studies ? 6 A*-C at GCSE with at least a grade B in the 3 subjects chosen to study
