Future opportunities

The social, political and economic nature of the course, and the focus on extended writing, makes it a very useful foundation for many other subjects and careers. It is extremely useful for preparing students interested in Law, Economics, Politics, Sociology, Religious Studies, English Literature, International Relations, Journalism, Archaeology and, of course, History. In fact, the focus on skills such as research, comprehension, argument formation, analysis, evaluation and critical thinking will complement most undergraduate courses. Its suitability and broad appeal help to explain why it was the fifth most popular A-Level choice nationally in 2015.
