Dance at The Fallibroome Academy

Course description

This diverse and exciting course studies Dance both in context and practice. It is a primarily practical course with the AS taken after one year and the GCE Advanced Level after two years of study.
Technique, Choreography, Analysis and Anatomy develop the different skills which are used by dance artists. Indeed, there are many exciting opportunities to work alongside professional artists and to work in high profile venues

Entry requirements

You will need performance experience in Dance. GCSE Dance is desirable but not essential. The GCE Advanced Level course studies a variety of Dance genres in detail and students therefore need to be open to exploring a variety of genres/styles of Dance. Students need to be prepared to study Dance practically in addition to studying theoretical aspects of the course. An essential part of the course is analysing professional works and students will therefore be required to attend live performances.
