IT with Business BTEC Level 1 at Runshaw College

Course description

Do you like working with computers? If ‘yes’ then you should consider studying a BTEC Level 1 in IT with Business!

This is a practical course and you will learn about working in the industry, PC systems, communication methods, using the internet and digital devices. In addition to developing excellent IT skills you will also develop good personal effectiveness skills including team work, basic finance and communication skills which are essential for success in employment.

As part of the course you will also study English and maths and will develop employability skills to help you reach your full potential.

Entry requirements

For access to our Level 1 courses, our entry requirements are 1 x grade D and 2 x grade E equivalent (1 x Grade 3 or D and 2 x Grade 2 or E).

The course is delivered through a combination of lessons and practical workshops and is assessed through coursework.
