Business Level 3 Diploma at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education
Course description
This course covers a whole range of business topics. We look at businesses large and small, local and global and visit organisations such as Alton Towers, Woburn Abbey and Cadbury World.
Course content
Your study programme will consist of a range of topics including marketing, effective communication, business resource management and the wider business environment. At the end of year one you must have passed all units to be able to progress onto year two. In year two you will study additional units selected from five specialisations: accounting, marketing, human resources, management, law and retailing.
Entry requirements
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at C or above including English Language and preferably maths or equivalent, OR a relevant Level 2 qualification with a satisfactory reference, English and preferably maths. Entry may be subject to a successful interview.
Assessment
Assessments will be a combination of assignments, presentations and timed controlled assessments. At the end of the course a portfolio of evidence will be presented.
Financial information
You will need a memory stick for saving your work; stationery, a calculator, and a file to help keep your work organised. The recommended textbook costs around £20.
Future opportunities
Higher level study such as HNC, HND or a degree programme. This course will also be recognised for entry onto management trainee programmes with blue chip companies.
