Course description

The BTEC Nationals in Business are specialist qualifications that focus on a vocational area which can be used as a full time programme of learning.

Course content

They are designed to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and understanding required for a range of roles in organisations within the business sector including administration, finance/accounts, marketing, management, human resources and law. In order to produce the coursework, lessons will be interactive with wide ranging activities to encourage quality outcomes such as documentaries and role plays and essays and presentations.

Entry requirements

4/5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language.


The emphasis of the course is on '"Learning by doing" which involves assessment by projects, case studies and assignments.

In most cases the course is free of charge. A fee may charged for re-sits or the general public. Students may be eligible for a weekly Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA), paid during term time, depending on your household income. For further information please visit
