BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma In IT (Networking & Systems Support) at Trafford College

Course description

This course is for students who want to progress onto a HND or degree with an IT and Business theme or into employment within the IT sector.The course is modular and includes 8 mandatory units which are:- Communication and Employability Skills for IT- Computer Systems- Information Systems- Managing Networks- Computer Networks- Communication Technologies- IT Technical Support- IT Systems Troubleshooting and RepairThere will be 10 additional units which may include:- Organisational Systems Security- Installing & Upgrading Software- Maintaining Computer Systems- Web Production & Management

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grades A* - C including maths and English Language or equivalent qualifications at Level 2 and a successful interview.

18 Coursework units assessed internally

Future opportunities

Students can progress onto a HND or degree programme or into employment
