Course description

Psychology A Level is one of our most popular subjects. Students find the subject enjoyable and rewarding with many opting to continue the subject by reading for a psychology degree. If you have an interest in the human mind and behaviour then you will enjoy psychology. The subject combines particularly well with other social sciences. It develops a similar set of important transferrable skills including critical analysis and research design.

Course content

Level Psychology is a linear qualification with students taking the final exam after two years of study. Psychology is a good choice for students with an interest in the human mind and behaviour. It develops a set of important transferrable skills including critical analysis and research design. A Level Psychology is examined by completing three written exam papers.

Entry requirements

A Level entry criteria are a minimum of five GCSEs, at grades 9-5, all in academic subjects. These must include a minimum of a grade 5 in GCSE English, a grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics and a grade 5 in a GCSE science subject. This qualification can only be studied alongside two other A Level subjects.

    • The site at Kingston Hall Road is the College's main site and houses the Student Registry and Welfare departments as well as Deli KC and the ACT Theatre.  The Arena Sports facility and Arena Hair and Beauty are both attached to this building, which also houses the central administration facility for the College.
