Product Design A Level at Northolt High School

Course description

The course seeks to develop students' knowledge, understanding, skills and application for designing products. Product design encompasses a wide range of design disciplines but is firmly rooted in the skills required to design and make high quality products. Products that are fit for purpose, satisfy wants and needs, enhance our day-today lives and, most importantly, give students the opportunity to demonstrate their design and technology capability. The course is divided into 4 units over 2 years. The first 2 units consist of a design and make project and a written exam paper leading to an AS qualification. The 3rd and 4th units again consist of one design and make unit and a written exam paper finally leading to an A2 qualification.

C in Resistant Materials or Graphics , C in English
