BTEC Diploma Photography ( Level 3) at King Ethelbert School

Course description

The course is designed to enable you to channel your Photographic Skilld and creativity whilst improving on your use of a diverse range of equipment, techniques and processes. 

By completing the course you will be well equipped for either a degree course in a Photgraphy field or a strong foundation for entering the creative industry.

You will develop your ability to effectively capture life, events, memories and themes while developing an aesthetic eye for detail. 

Students will respond to briefs and scenarios that will inform their tasks and assignments designed to prepare them for creative photographic industry and higher education. 

Course content

The 8 Mandatory Units to be covered:               

•   Managing a Client Brief                                                

•   Studio Photography

•   Developing and Realising Creative

     Intentions                                                                        

•   Location Photography

•   Professional Practice in Art & Design                        

•   Digital Image Capture and Editing

•   Photographic Materials, Techniques and                 

  •   Non-Digital Photographic

Entry requirements

Grade C (or above) in GCSE Photography or GCSE Art & Design   OR Merit (or above) in Art & Design BTEC Level 2 are advisable in addition to Sixth Form entry requirements
