Religious Studies at Aston Academy

Course description

Religion, Ethics and Philosophy deals with the big questions with which human beings have wrestled throughout history.

Have you ever wondered whether human beings are truly free, whether science or psychology have ‘disproved’ religion or how we should approach issues such as embryo research, animal rights or euthanasia? If you think that these questions are important, this is the course for you.

You will be encouraged to think critically about philosophical questions as well as consider the role of religion in an increasingly secular world.

It is valued by employers and universities as it develops students’ ability to analyse, evaluate and think for themselves as well as developing essay writing skills.

Course content
