Early Years (Children and Young People's Workforce CYPW) - Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship at HARTPURY COLLEGE
Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining nationally recognised qualifications whilst working and gaining real work experience, it is an ideal opportunity to ‘learn while you earn’.
Students attend college on a day-release basis, one day per week during term time for tuition leading to an Intermediate (Level 2 QCF Certificate in Early Years CYPW). Progression following achievement could be to the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3 QCF Certificate in Early Years CYPW) and potentially Higher Education.
The majority of the learning will be undertaken in the workplace – the exact nature of this will depend upon the type of setting at which the student is employed. Assessment will be undertaken both at College and in the workplace, where you will be visited periodically by your tutor where you will demonstrate the practical experience you are gaining alongside the essential skills necessary to progress.
This apprenticeship covers exciting topics such as learning through play; children’s development; the role of the childcare worker; working with parents and other services; safeguarding and paediatric first aid.
