Dance AS/A Level at The Commonweal School

Course description

Do you want a career that you have passion and excitement for? If you have ever thought about having a career as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, fitness instructor or dance journalist then this an essential course for you. Dance is a diverse discipline. It’s more than movement and technique; it’s inspiring, it’s enjoyable, and it’s motivating. Dance can enrich a young person’s life; It keeps them fit, develops their teamwork and self-esteem; it teaches artistic expression and even management skills.

Entry requirements

Students should have a GCSE in Dance or equivalent, Grade C or above or have proven interest and/or experience in dance. Dance is a highly physical subject and students will require substantial stamina.
