Dental Nursing Apprenticeship at West Cheshire College

Course description

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing is designed to provide the skills Apprentices need to to work as a Dental Nurse. It focuses on direct chairside work and support during a range of dental treatments. Apprentices gain considerable knowledge and skills in relation to dental equipment, instruments and materials and be able to work as a key member of the oral healthcare team. The Advanced Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing has been built on a number of principles: to promote good quality practice and high quality services, to help the sector respond to changing requirements, to encourage progression and be consistent with future legislation for statutory registration. On successful completion of this qualification Apprentices will be a qualified Dental Nurse and be able to register on the Statutory Register with the GDC. 

Entry requirements

The Advanced Apprenticeship In Dental Nursing requires an initial assessment, interview and a
minimum of 30 hours employment in a Dental Practice. The College can help you find employment.
