Business and Administration - Level 1 Diploma at Chichester College

Course description

This study programme ensures all learners are inspired and enthused to consider a career in business. Business and Management is a vibrant, exciting department to choose to study and this study programme has been developed to give learners, the most up to date information in the business sector. Progression for this course gives learners potential opportunity to progress to employment, a level 2 Business qualification, or progression in to an apprenticeship.

 

Course content

Topics include: Working in Business and Administration Producing documents ICT Preparing for Work Planning and running a business event Managing your own learning 

Practical, enjoyable lessons using the most up to date and relevant teaching materials. You will be encouraged to maximize self-study opportunities using Online Resources. 

Entry requirements

Maths and English GCSE grade F or above or entry level 3 in functional skills Maths and English.

Written assignments Practical assignments Projects Presentations Written or online exams for functional skills English, Maths and ICT Online assessment for Enterprise Passport

Future opportunities

Completion of this course can lead to progression to BTEC Level 2
Diploma in Business, employment or and Apprenticeship.

Further information

Chichester College is easy to get to; only a 5 minute walk from the bus
and train station and the car parking is free after 4pm. There is a wellstocked
learning resources centre which is also open on Saturdays.
Business classes are taught in the Business and Management
Department.
 
You are invited to bring your electronic devices (phones, tablets
etc.) A level 1 BTEC Business Course Text Book Your own memory
stick, stationery. Business dress required for some assignments.
 
The Business Department offers a one day team building day as part of
this programme of study. This is not mandatory for successful completion
of the course.
