Uniformed Public Services BTEC Level 1 Diploma at West Cheshire College
This course is ideal if you’re looking for a challenging career where you will provide a valuable service to the general public. Focusing on teamwork and physical activities, this course will give you a wide range of practical skills ideal for use in emergency situations or incidents involving the general public. You’ll take part in lots of outdoor and team building activities, including incident management, map reading and navigation. You will also visit local public service organisations to find out what it’s like to work in this sector and get a flavour of how they function. Activities include trips to the Fire Station and orienteering and fitness challenges with the Royal Marines. In addition you will complete work experience with the Army ‘Look at Life’ five-day residential course. On completion of this course you can progress on to a relevant Level 2 programme.
You’ll take part in lots of outdoor and team building activities, including incident management, map reading and navigation.
Two GCSEs at grade G or above or successful completion of an Entry Level programme including English and maths.
You will be continually assessed throughout the programme.
