This course takes a multi-disciplinary approach, encouraging the development of different methods of enquiry, with the focal point being the performer and the performance. The course is based on the interaction between the theory and practice of physical education.
Normally students 16 - 19 years of age will require a minimum ofÂ 6 GCSEs at grades A* - C, one of which must be either GCSE mathematics or GCSE English language and a minimum of Grade CC in science . Entry for mature students without formal qualifications is at the discretion of the faculty.

A Levels provide an excellent basis for progression to higher level qualifications such as degrees or Higher National Diplomas. With a qualification in physical education candidates can go on to higher education and pursue a career in teaching and coaching or professional sport, or work in the leisure industry, recreational management or the health and fitness industry.
