Patisserie and Confectionery Apprenticeship Level 3 at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College

Course description

An advanced apprenticeship in P√Ętisserie & Confectionary will help you gain the specialist skills you will need to produce a wide range of mouth-watering desserts. This qualification is ideal for someone with some catering experience but wishes to specilise for a career as a p√Ętisserie chef.

This qualification covers a range of units including:

  • Prepare, cook and finish complex dishes using chocolate, cake, sponge, pastry, bread and dough
  • Importance of food safety when storing, preparing and cooking
  • Expertly use specialist equipment
  • Productive working relationships with colleagues

Entry requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of a Level 1 qualification in English and Maths as well as a Level 2 qualification in catering.

Assessment

This qualification will be assessed through exams as well as practical and in work assessment.

Further information

This apprenticeship will be delivered through classroom and practical sessions in EHWLCs industry standard kitchens, one day each week during term time. Apprentices will be expected to self-study outside of the classroom and their working hours.
