Geography AS/A2 at Tewkesbury School

Course description

“Geography will provide you with knowledge and transferable skills that will reward you personally and advance you professionally.” Dr Rita Gardner, Director of the RGS. Our Geography AS and A2 course will not only provide you with an awareness, knowledge and understanding of a variety of aspects of the world around us but it will also inspire and challenge you.

You will study topics including:

  • The formation of different physical environments
  • The causes and impacts of various hazards such as mass movements, volcanoes, earthquakes; use of resources
  • Different cultures
  • Economies and societies
  • Global development and citizenship

You will develop a wide range of intellectual, practical and social skills. There will be opportunities for field trips.

Entry requirements

B in GCSE Geography; B in GCSE English.
