Religious Studies A Level at Greenford High School

Course description

This course will enable students to develop insights into areas of knowledge, belief and thought central to an understanding of the modern world. Through a study of philosophy, ethics and the world's major religions, students will be equipped with a range of knowledge and skills which will help them to make sense of contemporary events and issues.

Course content

Due to changes in the National Curriculum for A Level, only draft specifications for September 2016 teaching are currently available; therefore the department are still in the process of confirming the specification that will be followed. 

The course will still have a focus on the study of Philosophy, Ethics and Religion.

Entry requirements

5 A*-C grades at GCSE (essential)

B grade in GCSE English Language OR English Literature (essential)

C Grade or above in a Humanities subject at GCSE (e.g. RE, History, Geography) (preferable)
