Course description

This qualification in ICT is equivalent to two GCSEs at grade B. The aim of OCR´s Creative iMedia qualifications is to recognise the application of a range of creative media user skills, knowledge and understanding.The benefits are:* Developing your knowledge of the sector* Developing your ability to manage information and data in a variety of applications* Developing your ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively* Developing your ability to accurately test and evaluate your own work* Encouraging progression by assisting in the development of skills and knowledge that you will need to undertake further study.This course requires students to complete a range of units of work, including creating digital animations, creating multimedia web pages, digital photograph and manipulation, pre-production skills, game design concepts and developing digital games.Skills learnt during the course will ready students to progress to the Level 3 Creative iMedia qualification, other courses in school or to the wider world of media.The course is marked digitally, work is submitted via an electronic portfolio and is graded Pass or Fail.
