Sport Level 2 Diploma at Aylesbury College

Course description

The Level 2 Sport, Health and Fitness will equip students to prepare for employment. The aim of this qualification is to provide students with the essential knowledge
and skills required to prepare them for a career in Sport and as a fitness instructor. This qualification gives students the opportunity to gain a nationally accredited qualification which provides the essential knowledge, skills and personal qualities required for an occupation in the Health and Fitness sector.

Course content

You will learn the aspects of the fitness industry and will gain an industry relevant qualification

 

Example modules Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise Health, Safety and Welfare in a Fitness Environment Principles of Exercise Fitness and Health

 

Entry requirements

3 GCSE’s to include a Minimum of Maths D and English D, Science and PE would be an advantage for this course.

Various methods of assessment used.

Future opportunities

Level 3 Personal trainer, Level 3 Sports, Apprenticeships and or employment in the fitness industry.
