Hairdressing Diploma - Level 3 at Redcar & Cleveland College

Course description

Level 3 is a Specialist Award which will allow you to greatly develop your hairdressing skills. 10 units to be completed including optional units for Level 4 colour correction, Hair extensions, Bridal Hair, Creative cutting, advanced permanent waving, Promote additional products and services.

Course content

This course is fantastic to gain extra knowledge and creative skills for employment keeping you up to date with the latest trends within industry. We offer a verity of units that not all providers offer for example Hair extensions. We have regular Guest speakers and trips to salon international London. Competitions are carried out during the course in house and external to enhance your skills. We won regional HTC bridal competition at Newcastle 2015. All our staff are professionally trained by L’Oréal ensuring all learners have the experience of working with specialised products. Colour Correction is vital part of this course, this is carried out within level 3 creative colour unit and level 4 colour correction is optional.

Entry requirements

  • Students who wish to progress from Level 2 to develop their hairdressing skills.

Assessment

Learning activities include practical skills sessions and theory sessions that will include online exams and assignments. Also working in the commercial salon gaining industry experience and completing practical assessments

Financial information

You will be required to wear a uniform for all practical lessons and a kit is essential to aid successful completion of this course. These costs will be discussed at interview.

Future opportunities

Students who are already working in the industry and wish to further their career into salon management, teaching and/or training within the hairdressing industry.
