A Level ICT at Newbold Community School

Course description

Why should I study this course? An A-Level in ICT is an important qualification. All employers expect young adults to be digitally literate. An A-Level in ICT will prove that you are an advanced user of ICT and help separate you from the crowd. This course allows you to continue to develop your practical skills through the coursework elements while also enhancing your technical knowledge in the theory units. You should be proficient in using the main Office applications and willing to learn new skills quickly.

AS Unit 1: Information, Systems and Applications
AS Unit 2: Structured ICT Tasks
A2 Unit 3: ICT Systems, Applications and Implications
A2 Unit 4: ICT Project

Entry requirements

Pass (grade C) in DIDA or Merit (B) in OCR National or Grade C at GCSE ICT.
