Media Studies at Highcliffe School

Course description

This course will provide an opportunity for students to experience and develop an understanding of the current media landscape, covering the three media platforms: print, broadcast and digital/web-based media. Students will also be able to develop their knowledge and understanding of media forms, audiences, institutions and representations, and apply that knowledge to issues concerning the changing ways that media texts are produced and consumed.

Course content

AS Level: Investigating Media (Exam), Creating Media (Coursework).

A Level: Media - Critical Perspectives (Exam), Research adn Production (Coursework).
