Course Description

The lessons in Media Studies are varied, there are practical lessons where you use your skills and knowledge to create your own piece of media, as well as watching films and television to broaden your experience of media. There are also theory based lessons where you will learn terminology and analyse media texts so that you understand the world of the media in more depth.

The course consists of the following content:

Investigating the Media, Creating Media, Critical Perspectives, Research & Production

Entry requirements

To start an AS Level course you should achieve at least 5 grade Cs at GCSE including BTECs. To start a Level 2 course, 4 GCSE passes are required. All courses expect a high level of commitment and hard work.
