Critical Thinking at South Holderness Technology College

Course description

First of all, Critical Thinking isn’t about criticising everything! A good definition of critical thinking is, "reasonable, reflective thinking on deciding what to believe or do" R.H. Ennis.

It isn’t like other subjects you will be taking for AS / A-level either. It doesn’t involve learning lots of facts.

As the title suggests, it is learning how to think and reason, as well as how to write, in a coherent and logical way.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs A-C grade including Maths and English

A grade B in GCSE subjects is required for most A Level programmes. Please speak to the sixth form subject teacher for specific details on course entry.
