Year 12:
- Cells, Exchange & Transport (includes cell
division, exchange surfaces and breathing,
transport in animals and plants)
- Molecules, Biodiversity, Food & Health
(includes enzymes, diet and food production,
classification and evolution)
- Practical Skills In Biology 1
Year 13:
- Communication, Homeostasis and Energy
(includes photosynthesis, respiration, excretion
and hormones)
- Control, Genomes and Environment (includes
meiosis, cloning, biotechnology, sustainability
and animal behaviour)
- Practical Skills In Biology 2

Entry requirements

You should have studied Science to Intermediate
level by taking either double Award Science
GCSE or GNVQ Intermediate. You may have
taken Biology as a separate subject at GCSE.
