Pre-School Practice - Diploma (L3) at NEWTEC

Course description

You will have four units that have to be completed in which three are mandatory and one is optional. Mandatory: Understanding and promoting the development of pre-school children Providing learning communities for pre-school children and their families Making the pre-school setting a supportive and safe environment Optional: Working to support parents with literacy, numeracy and language needs in a pre-school practice setting Working with children with disabilities and special educational needs and their families in pre-school setting. Working in a parent managed pre-school setting

Entry requirements

5 GCSE (A-C) including Literacy and or Level 2 in Childcare or Health and Social Care programmes.

Future opportunities

After achieving the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice you could work towards the NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or you could progress to a related Level 4 qualification.Upon completion this can lead to learners applying to job roles at a supervisory level, such as pre school and playgroup leaders, or be a volunteer in a pre-school setting. Learners completing can also allow progression to higher level qualifications for example, Level 4 Early Years Foundation degree.
