Course description

This course is designed to develop your social, independence and work skills, whilst improving your confidence through studying a range of topics. Topics include: - Literacy - Numeracy - Employability skills - Enterprise and community awareness

Course content

If you are working towards Entry Level 1 or have achieved our Accessing College and Education certificate, this course may be for you. It is designed for students who need a supportive environment in which to learn. This qualification is designed for students working at Entry Level 1. Entry Level 1 is for those students with profound and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including those working towards Entry Level 2. Once you have completed the course, you will have the opportunity to progress either on to other Supported Learning courses, work-based training or employment.

Entry requirements

You must possess a willingness to take part in new learning opportunities and show you are committed to furthering your education.

Assessment

You will be taught in small groups and will be set targets to achieve. Both your targets and your progress will be monitored regularly in tutorial sessions. We will assess your individual needs at your initial interview, and if necessary, we will arrange additional support to help you achieve your learning goals.
