Photography A Level at Brooke Weston Academy

Course description

Photography students will explore traditional dark room techniques and digital photography within their course. They will be introduced to the CS5 Photoshop suite and will produce high quality imagery through comprehensive investigations into chosen subject matters. The study of artists and crafts people will aid student's understanding of the art world which will be enhanced by a trip to a London art gallery. Written responses to such experiences will be of an A Level English format, requiring students to undertake several essays and written assignments throughout the course. This will culminate in the creation of a major final piece in reflection of the journey they have taken through the programme. At the end of each year students will hold an exhibition open to the public.
