Art (Textiles) AS at Hayes School

Course description

Textiles is offered as an endorsement, exposing the students to dyeing, making, decoration, weaving and many other contemporary textile techniques. The work is often ground breaking, dealing with current personal concerns and skills. Work in the past has ranged from huge wings, suspended behind a simple, but beautiful dance costume, supported by plumbers piping; to detailed and delicate embroidery experiments, looking at texture and colour.
