Health & Social Care BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Oaklands College
Our dynamic team have a vast amount of vocational and academic experience, and provide excellent support to help learners achieve their goals. You will undertake supervised work placements enabling you to experience life as a care practitioner. The Health and Social Care Team are made up of lecturers with both academic and vocational backgrounds in Health and Social Care and related disciplines
The course is made up of units of study with subjects including; Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care, Development Through the Life Stages, Equality Diversity and Rights, Physiological Disorders, Effective Communication in Health and Social Care, and Personal and Professional Development in Health and Social Care
You will need to have at least one of the following: A BTEC First Diploma at a Merit in a related subject, A minimum of four GCSEs at grades A - C (including English Language), Appropriate work experience, Satisfactory DBS
The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is a work-related course. You learn by completing assignments that are based on workplace activities, situations and demands. The two year course includes a minimum of 100 hours of compulsory work experience. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you develop the skills you need to start a career in health or care. The course is equivalent to two A-levels which means when you have finished the course you can choose to work straight away or apply to university.
16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
