Bench Joinery - Level 3 DIploma at City of Oxford College

Course description

Gain the knowledge and skills you need to set out, machine and assemble complex joinery items with this Level 3 Diploma in Bench Joinery. Extend the skills you acquired at Level 2 so you can progress towards becoming a joiner in the construction industry.

Course content

Practise and improve your skills so you can make winder staircases, curved windows, spandrel frames and gothic arched doors.

This course involves practical activities and classroom theory.

Entry requirements

A willingness to improve your skills and a pair of boots (we will advise you on this).

Future opportunities

With this course you could progress towards an apprenticeship, employment or higher education.

      • Approach from the city ring Road to the BMW Works roundabout. (Map 2). This roundabout is easy to recognise because it is situated at the heart of the BMW Works area.
      • Turn away from the direction of the city (i.e. right turn if travelling anti-clockwise on the ring road, left turn if travelling clockwise).
      • Proceed along the Garsington Road, Watlington Road, passing through two sets of traffic lights. At the third set opposite Johnson's Home Centre turn right into Cuddesdon Way, the College is a few hundred yards along this road on the left hand side.
