Italian at The London Oratory School

Course description

Pupils develop their understanding of contemporary Italian society through studying a range of texts. Authentic spoken and written sources are used to introduce issues for discussion as well as to develop language skills.

Entry requirements

An assessment of suitability for an A-level course will be made by interview, together with information about ability, effort, expected performance at GCSE and suitability for an A-level course.

Future opportunities

You could take this course with other advanced level course or equivalent to prepare for higher education in Italian, Languages or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to Italian or Languages such as a Teacher, Translator, or you may wish to use your Italian to study or work over in Italy. The course will also help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the travel and tourism sector.
