Electrical Installations Level 2 Diploma at Lakes College West Cumbria

Course description

If you are looking to be a domestic or industrial electrician this is the route for you. There a few pathways to take in order to become a fully qualified electrician, either full time or through an Apprenticeship. In order to be qualified and set up your own business you will be expected to carry out qualifications whist employed by someone as an electrician. Maths and English will be at the core of your study programme.

Entry requirements

Relevant Level 1 Qualification and Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English, or 4 GCSEs Grade A*-D including English, Maths and Practical Skills Assessment

Future opportunities

Free to all 16-18 and 19-23 year olds who do not already have a full level 2 qualification e.g 5 GCSE's grade A*-C. Also free to learners who are in receipt of JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) ESA ((Employment Support Allowance, (work related activity)) or Universal Credit (mandated). Where fees are payable you can set up a payment plan that best suits your needs

Further information

Once you have successfully completed the Level 2 course you could progress on to our level 3 or an Advanced Electrical Installation Apprenticeship once you have secured a job within the industry.
